Re: TES Skyrim 0.240

I was about to post that there were issues with SSS, but seems like it's already being addressed.

Thanks again for the update ;)

SSS issues are not bugs. Game SSS use sun only as intensity and sun is covered by clouds, so no SSS, for eyes and for vegetation. I don't see any reason of these objects to be illuminated under low light conditions.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.240

@ Boris
So it's an inherent game design to have SSS clamped at low lighting conditions during cloudy periods. Understood, thanks for the explanation.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.240

Are cloud shadows linked to skyrimprefs.ini shadow distance parameters?

Re: TES Skyrim 0.240

Hey Boris, sorry for bringing this up again, but apart from the in-game SSS, ENBs SSS (under [SUBSURFACESCATTERING]) seems to behave differently as well.

Just wanted to double-check if this is expected behaviour. This is nighttime during a snowstorm. I confirmed that the in-game SSS is NOT active in this.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.240

It seems that SSS now works inversely. No sunlight, less SSS power, but in v. 0.240, SSS looks stronger

Shadows from clouds not linked to anything, i said that already.

Viscerous
I wrote about SSS at first page and some posts above.

Guzio
Turn off clouds shadow and compare.
