Re: Dark Souls 2 v0256

Yeah, thanks for the mouse cursor change, definitely makes it easier.

I've been trying for the last hour to find ways to get it work everytime, but haven't found a solution yet.
Would the windows error report be remotely helpful?

The crashes are happening mostly when loading a save.. there's the short screen saying 'saving data' and then it normally transitions to the loading screen.
WHEN it crashes there's always a short flicker before going to the loading screen and then crashes within 2 seconds.

That's what the error message says, the stackhash values (the 58e3 at the end) change sometimes though.

Code: Select all

Problem Event Name:	APPCRASH
  Application Name:	DarkSoulsII.exe
  Application Version:	1.0.2.0
  Application Timestamp:	535a1185
  Fault Module Name:	StackHash_58e3
  Fault Module Version:	6.3.9600.17031
  Fault Module Timestamp:	5308893d
  Exception Code:	c0000374
  Exception Offset:	PCH_26_FROM_ntdll+0x0003D72C
  OS Version:	6.3.9600.2.0.0.256.48
I've been googling a bit, since I have no other way to help myself, no coding experience etc., but most of the pages I've stumbled upon are telling me to disable Data Execution Prevention for the program.
I tried doing it the hard way by disabling it globally, but unfortunately that didn't work either.

And I can guarantee you, that there's no crapware running here, no antiviruses, nothing, nada.

Thanks for the response Boris, played for about 3+ hrs this morning with zero crashes or artifacts..so latest build works for me at least. Running win7 with a nvidia titan.

Thanks for fixing the mouse cursor. It's much easier to make a preset now!

Fixed (i hope so) 16:10 screen aspect ratio artifacts and strange device reset bug when working with ENBSeries in-game editor while level is loaded (i still don't know why it happen, some crap in the game code).
Thanks for the update, the bottom bar has actually disappeared, but the screen remains deformed :P :
default : http://puu.sh/8qWnd.jpg
ENB 0.256 : http://puu.sh/8qWod.jpg
Strangely enough it doesn't affect the UI..

Also this version seems to have introduced some artifacts I didn't see previously on some surfaces (the chairs, the mace ..), maybe it's linked to the stretched screen : http://puu.sh/8qWoV.jpg

And I report also another minor artifact which happens only in specific area (the tree house at the beginning since I haven't got very far) : http://puu.sh/8qWm5.jpg
The tree and the background beyond the door disappear as soon as I enter the area and reappears one second after ( http://puu.sh/8qWX3.jpg )

Re: Dark Souls 2 v0256

Would it be possible to add a downsampling option to the enblocal.ini? I like that GeDoSaTo mod Durante made but it doesn't work with ENB for whatever reason. He doesn't seem to want to make them compatible which really sucks, especially for the texture replacing part of his mod.

Really nice work though and I'm really glad you decided to give the game support even though you don't like it. You're great:D! Aside from the port of Skyrim's ENB and the fixing of the bugs, is there anything more you plan to do for the game?

I think that's occlusion culling you can find in enblocal.ini under [PERFORMANCE]

[PERFORMANCE]
EnableOcclusionCulling=true

Put it to

[PERFORMANCE]
EnableOcclusionCulling=false

Amazing work , Boris. We know you don't have to do this, so we are all the more thankful for it.

I didn't find this part anywhere in enblocal.ini, in the 0.256 version. Anyway I added it but the problem is still there.
In any case this is a minor bug if it happens only in very specifics areas and for one second
