Re: Skyrim SE Advanced Depth of Field

As I will add DSLR next, you'll see that it behaves the same in a physical based method ;) when can we await your video about the DoF effect? :)

Re: Skyrim SE Advanced Depth of Field

Hi Marty, looking forward to the new DSLR things! I have actually been postponing work on the next DOF video since your effect is under such active development. I kinda want for the dust to settle first, so to speak, so that the video represents all (or at least most) of the features of the next release of the effect. I would be happy to coordinate timing of the video with you, i.e. whenever you think it is a good time to do so. I am going on vacation for a week starting on Thursday, so the video may have to wait until I get back to be released. I am actually going to TRY to work on the videos a bit during vacation, but not sure how much time I will have to do so...

Re: Skyrim SE Advanced Depth of Field

Alright, I'll push all features I can think of right now asap, I always have swift development until I hit a coding wall and I first have to improve my HLSL skills until I can revise and improve the effect again which takes >half year again :p
If you need some q/a for the DOF, I guess Skype or such is a better way than here on the forums.

Take a look at the original ReShade shader here
https://reshade.me/forum/shader-presentation
And do tell me what features you'd deem useful that aren't yet in here. The ReShade version however lacks some features and I also rewrote some.

Re: Skyrim SE Advanced Depth of Field

I know you guys are busy but if someone could point me in the right direction to my prior post it would be much appreciated. Not trying to congest the forum just looking for some aid please, trying to learn as much as possible. I finally get the DoF working in version 1.2 but when I tried 1.3b it was all screwed up. I'm just going to use version 1.2 for now.

"So I downloaded 1.3b and copy/pasted it to the game directory and loaded it up and tilt shift looks pretty sweet (wouldn't play like that but should make some killer shots) but I lost the DoF effect adjustments? Did I do something wrong? All the adjustments I see are related to tilt shift...?"

Re: Skyrim SE Advanced Depth of Field

If you enable tilt shift, all UI vars related to my own focusing are hidden, if you disable tilt shift, all UI vars of my own focusing are shown again and the vars of tilt shift are hidden. All UI vars of disabled features are hidden, otherwise it's a huge mess. As the ini files of ENB store old parameters, your config is not lost. Set focusing to my own one again and the controls will reappear :)

Ok so I downloaded 1.3b copy/pasted the enbdepthoffield.fx into my skyrim directory, loaded up Skyrim SE and don't see where I can enable or disable tilt shift?

Figured maybe I have to go into the enbseries folder and locate the enbseriesdepthoffield.fx.ini and enable or disable it in there... I don't see it in there either. I am sorry to be so dumb but how do I do it? Sorry I know it's probably an elementry question for you guys but again (remember my name! I am the new guy trying to learn your ways) :roll:

Re: Skyrim SE Advanced Depth of Field

#define iADOF_FocusMode is what you're looking for in the shader file.

@TreyM
Thank you that's exactly what I needed. I'm not fimiliar with code so when I was inside the .fx file I didn't know what I was looking at. I'm just starting to somewhat understand what I'm tweaking (like 2% worth lol better than nothing I say!) Thanks for taking the time to hit me up with what I asked about I'm sure you guys get annoyed with new people like me.

@Marty

Thanks, I will take a look at that link to learn about the effect features. It does not look like I will have the video ready before I leave, but hopefully I will be able to work on it while I am away :)

Re: Skyrim SE Advanced Depth of Field

Hey, 1.3b is not working tho (maybe compatibility issue)
I am using Natural Bloom 3.0, ENB DNI, and bloom and lens shaders by Oyama
I also disabled Tilt Shift
