If you ask me, one of the best, if not the best, CRPG ever made especially together with Night of the Raven. Don't think I'd play it again, though, as the engine is just so limited by nowadays standards, also the models, textures, etc. are pretty lackluster. For some reason, Piranha Bytes' newer endeavours like Risen never quite reached the same immersive storytelling level as Gothic 2, which is truly too bad.
