I thought I'd open up a thread for all the users of DS2's ENB version who experience crashes, so we'd have all the information and tried things in one place.
Just post where it's crashing, whatever you have tried and your complete system information, including OS, down to the motherboard, and GFX drivers.
Crashing circumstances
Crashing about 9/10 times, when transitioning into the loading screen, before that there's a slight visual hitch.
It's loading for about 2 seconds, then crashes to the Desktop, spitting out the usual APPCRASH error.
When it succeeds in running, it mostly crashes when travelling to different locations, or while dying.
Things I have tried without a change:
Disabling Steam Overlay.
Various VCRedist version.
DX updates.
Disabling DEP completely.
Running as Admin.
Tried the generic ENB on DS2 -> working
Using the DS2 ENB on different games -> No Crash
Using other games' ENBs (for example Skyrim's, etc.) on DS2 -> Crash
Moving the game folder to different locations to make sure there's no permission problems.
Changing the system language.
COMPLETELY formatting my hard drive, installing only the bare minimum drivers and DS2, no background processes whatsoever -> still crashing.
My system:
Win 8.1 x64 SP1
Intel i5 2300
Intel DH67BL board
8GB of Kingston HyperX 1600mhz RAM running at 1333mhz
Gigabyte Windforce GTX 770 4GB/ driver version 337.50
Western Digital 500GB SATA drive running in AHCI mode
RME Babyface USB Audio Interface
I'd appreciate any input!

Re: Dark Souls 2 Crashes
Game crashes on load/new game/death/teleport/in majula looking down the big hole in the ground sometimes caused crash too about 9 out of 10 times just like yours.
im using:
- windows 8 64 bit,
- Intel core i5 Ivy bridge 3570
- GTX 670
- 8gb ddr3 ram
- latest beta 337.50 drivers.
I tried:
- reinstalling dx9 and all the other usual stuff like visual C++.
- reinstalling drivers, trying different drivers,
- disabling various features in enb and putting every detail in game to low,
- windowed mode,
- different aspect ratios, HDMI, DVI.
- updating windows 8
- killing various processes in task manager
- disabling my x-fi sound card
The only thing that KINDA worked was putting the game to windows 95 or 98 compatibility mode. It then wouldn't load my save, I had to start a new game and I have no idea where the saves are created, they weren't in public documents folder like they should when you use that compatibility mode. After fiddling some more with win 95/98 mode trying to make the game crash ( I haven't kept doing that for long because of new game though) I lost fire effects, dynamic shadows and particles from hitting walls with sword and had to reinstall the game to fix that.

I5 4670k
GTX Windforce 770 4gb
Windows 8 64bit
Driver 337.50
I have the exact same issues. The game also crashes when I approach the Deep Pit in Majula, if I get too close I just CTD. This happens in other areas as well but not many. I don't have the slightest clue what is causing all of this, and why some can run it perfectly fine. I hope we figure it out soon.

Saves are in Appdata/roaming/dark souls 2, I am on the same drivers as you guys, windows 7, gtx 680 2gb, random crashes upon loading a save, warping or death, almost 100% crash from loading a save from main menu.

Re: Dark Souls 2 Crashes
Where is Deep Pit and how to get to it from first place where you see the sea?

Re: Dark Souls 2 Crashes
Found big round hole in first village, is that Deep Pit? Don't have crash when looking inside or jumping in to it many times. Will try again with another OS.
