Hello,
I've tried re-modding Skyrim again after about another year... (Boredom. Simply boredom.)
Now the game looks pretty epic already, except that even at iMinGrassSize=20 there's not enough grass to my preference. Therefore, I installed the Unbelievable Grass HD mod, which made it look much better to my eyes. After installing that, the game began crashing (Note my FPS reaches around 30-35), and I don't know if it is related to the low FPS or a VRAM spike. (GPU-Z didn't monitor higher than 3.3GB).
Also, Project Parallax didn't seem to put better textures in my game, they look rather smudgy to me. I've tried re-installing both textures multiple times. Apparently this does happen to Natural Grass Texture Floor too.

I don't understand what you asking for. Three screenshots totally different. Last one with terrain parallax enabled and without texture made for it, written in the news how to use it, basically not to use for your case. Crash issue? Game process do not eat 3.3 gb or more ram with ENBoost enabled, so you don't use it.

Look at the bottom of the first picture, smudging on the bottom.
The last picture is pure smudge.
And indeed, I don't use ENBoost, it's got nothing to do with normal RAM either, it's the VRAM.

It's not that I sincerely want something from you exactly... Sorry if it came over like that.ENBSeries wrote:I don't know what you want from me.
I just asked if anyone knew why the game suddenly crashed to desktop after installing the grass mod, and why the Parallax mod smudges some of the textures. I'm not saying it's anyone's fault..

Re: Project Parallax - False textures + Unbelievable Grass C
You don't use ENBoost, so don't have memory for installing heavy mods.
You don't have parallax terrain mod(s). In the news on this site i wrote that parallax textures mostly do not exist in the game and activate new feature only when such mods will be made.

@MetallicaDutch
Following on Boris' advice, if you are crashing you should use ENBoost and the SKSE memory patch. This will allow you to run Skyrim with many mods with virtually no memory-related crashes.
For the texture issue, you should disable Terrain Parallax in enblocal.ini unless you are using terrain textures that are designed for this effect.

Alright, I installed the ENBoost enblocal.ini as you recommend.ENBSeries wrote:You don't have parallax terrain mod(s). In the news on this site i wrote that parallax textures mostly do not exist in the game and activate new feature only when such mods will be made.
What do you mean with "parallax terrain mod(s)"? I do have Parallax Remastered, but if I need another mod to go with this, what would it be? (I'm using so many landscape mods..)
Would that remove the smudging textures?tapioks wrote: For the texture issue, you should disable Terrain Parallax in enblocal.ini unless you are using terrain textures that are designed for this effect.

Re: Project Parallax - False textures + Unbelievable Grass C
Oh man, look at release date of parallax terrain feature of the mod, modders can't make parallax mods for terrain so fast these days. As i said, disable parallax terrain in enblocal.ini, it's new feature and the only mod partially use it is on the news page as link. Another parallax type is different parameter in enblocal.ini and you may freely enable or disable it, this doesn't matter because it's only active when parallax mods are installed and do not produce artifacts like on your screenshots.

Re: Project Parallax - False textures + Unbelievable Grass C
Oh wow, it did seem to fix the smudgy textures. Thanks man.
Also, I've played about 7 minutes with the grass mod now, laggs like hell since my GPU can't render all of that grass.. (R9 290 Tri-X OC @1030/1320) but it works!
