Memory limitations with Fallout 4 and possibly Skyrim SE
@ENBSeries Sorry to bother you. I understand that ENBoost helps with memory issues with Fallout 4. But would you have more information about what Fallout 4's limits are? I respect your answer. I know Skyrim had crash at 3.1 and you fixed it (thank you) but is there a memory usage value that Fallout 4 is limited to? Will Skyrim SE also have an issue? I do not understand the inner workings and looking for an expert answer. There is talk that Skyrim SE will no longer suffer from memory issues and I thought you would be the best person to answer. Thank you again for all your hard work.

Both FO4 and Skyrim SE are 64bit app, there is no chance they will have any memory issues in terms of size limit.
(Well, there is a chance that Bugthesda strikes again... )
Which also means that they only runs on 64bit operating system.

Why did Boris make an ENBoost and memory patch for Fallout 4 if there is no memory issue?kingeric1992 wrote:Both FO4 and Skyrim SE are 64bit app, there is no chance they will have any memory issues in terms of size limit.

I've specified the "size limit" in my reply, which is what you're asking in your post. As you may not notice, the fallout 4 enb doesn't include a host process (enbhost.exe) for memory extension.

What kingeric1992 said is true. Regarding ENBoost for Fallout 4, it fixes different problem introduced by Bethesda (i'm doubt if they can do anything without problems), it's their own memory manager problems.

Does Skyrim SE have the same memory manager issue as Fallout 4? Will it need ENBOOST too?

No idea yet. Mods with high-res textures will bring up this problem, if it exists.

I tried CaBaLs Armor in SSE, It looked really bad imo. I don't understand how the textures look so good in Vanilla Skyrim, then look incredible with ENB, and then look disgusting in SSE. Not that I would play SSEENBSeries wrote:No idea yet. Mods with high-res textures will bring up this problem, if it exists.
