I too stayed on with 0.168 and skipped to 0.193. I kept all enb files I've been using, and I just installed the 0.193 dll file. I started Skyrim like I've done to let 0.193 to generate enblocal.ini and update enbseries.ini. I exited immediately, and compared enblocal.ini and enbseries.ini to remove any duplicates in enbseries.ini. This step let me kept all my previous settings I've been using with 0.168. The only setting I had to tweak again was the SkyLighting settings and the sunsprite settings. Boris has posted more in depth info on how to migrate from old to 0.193 here:

I have 193 running but I now have artifacts on grass and foliage only. It appears as opaque dark lines/shapes covering the plants. Everything else looks fine. No FPS/performance increase noticed yet.

EDIT: please disregard, I had shadowsongrass in skrimprefs.ini turned off.

Hi all. New to the forum. I'm using Stakado Realistic which recommends 112 Kage, so I've been running that. I would like to try ENBoost, so I installed 193. It appears to be working, but everything is significantly brighter. I'd like to fix that, but I can't get the ENB GUI to work. After searching here, I found that it won't work if I launch the game through SPM with "Attempt Support for Custom D3D9.dll" checked. So I unchecked that and I still can't get the ENB GUI. I then tried launching it via Nexus Mod Manager and again I could not get the ENB GUI to work.

Any suggestions on things I can try to get the GUI to work?

Doing such a leap between Binaries will have consequences, even when the settings that are still there in the file it will in the end look different. Though commands like DirectLighting haven't really changed anything in between those versions in a significant way that I can remember.

Anyway to the problem did you use your old 0.112 enbseries.ini and removed/added the necessary commands?
With such a big leap I think it would be better if you generated new .ini files and moved your command values that can be transferred in to those new generated .ini files.
And are you sure you are not in "Patch" mode by having the UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics set to true in enblocal.ini file?

Same for me, but we also never observed reflections, sunshafts, smooth shadows, TemporalAA and a bunch of other effects until ENB came into Skyrim.

Yeah. I was thinking that, so I did expect changes.

I did not use my 0.112 enbseries.ini What I did was copied all of the old files into a backup folder, then overwrote them with the 0.193 files. I opened both and modified the new ones based on the settings in the old files. I also tried the 0.193 files as they were (with the settings tweaked per the documentation).

I do have UsePatchSpeedHackWithoutGraphics set to true, and of course, that's the problem. I saw the message at the top of the screen and wondered what it meant. I guess, if I had given it just a little bit of thought, I would have realized that's what it was talking about. (I feel stupid.) At least if anybody else doesn't figure it out, it's in writing now.

Thanks for your help. I'm hoping I can figure out how to bring the darkness back. ;)

Alittle heads up:
Start FRAPS before running Skyrim. Tabbing out and start it will make Skyrim crash :>
If "task manager" is open while Skyrim running, it sometimes looks like it hangs on some loads but it will load just wait a few secs.
A few earlier versions made Skyrim ctd at start with "task manager" open, have not seen a ctd at start yet with latest :)
"task manager" issue might be win8 only, have not seen anyone else report similar yet.
